Very impressed just after one visit. The crab stuffed shrimp was delicious!! The firecracker burger was as spicy as expected but it still exploded with flavor, so good! Will go back when in town.

One of my favorite restaurants in town for their food. Great place for lunch. Everything I've ever ordered is a nice portion and always delicious. Service is good, sometimes slow but worth the wait. I highly recommend. Atmosphere is very comfortable and you can eat indoors or outside on the patio when it's nice outside.

Staff was very nice. Food was good. Unfortunately, when our meals came, 1 order was incorrect, 1 order didn't come at all (which we had to ask for) and we had to ask for side salad ordered earlier. We also sat with empty glasses for a while, asked for refills, and had to ask again before receiving them close to when we were finished. I don't know if they're low on staff, but something needs to happen to improve the accuracy of service.

This place is amazing, amazing food and amazing staff!!!! We are on our honeymoon staying at the Viejas casino and resort and decided to check out this place!! If there were more stars I would definitely add them!!! Waitress even paid for our Honeymoon Dinner! You gotta check this place out, pizza is amazing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Clean , watched them clean all surfaces after each customer left. Fast friendly service great sandwiches.

My wife and I stopped here two nights in a row while overnighting in Gaylord. The first night was for drinks, the second for dinner. The food was really good and the service was on point. Staff was friendly and attentive. Music nightly on the weekends I believe. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a place to eat or hang out.

The menu had a great selection! We ate outside on the patio, as we are still trying to be cautious with COVID-19 precautions. We were immediately greeted by the musician, who had just finished up. He was very friendly! I witnessed staff cleaning tables and sanitizing multiple times. All of the waitstaff was wearing masks, which made us feel comfortable about eating there. Our waitress was terrific and the food was AMAZING!!

Our waitress Heather was/is the best!! Very courteous, friendly and helpful!! Food was great too!!

The kids enjoyed the igloos, the appetizers were great. Dinner was ok at best. Not bad but nothing special... basic bar food.

The food was amazing. The place was busy and our waitresses was busy running. The food runner brought our appetizer but no plates or silverware. That was the only issue we had. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants great food for a good price.

Server Heather was friendly and had a great smile. Went to dinner with three other couples. Four adults ordered the all you can eat chicken (family style). The waitress brought out one platter with some chicken mash potatoes and coleslaw and said here you go!. Oh wait you need some plates! Spoke to the manager and asked why we did not receive our own individual plates and she responded the cook was slammed so he just put some food on one plate for four people. Plus its family style! Had we known this was the presentation we would of went to K of C. At least each food item is separated into individual containers. Very disappointed. We have always had a great experience in the past at the Tavern however I have never seen this before in a sit down establishment.

Good local place. Friendly environment! Sometimes it can be busy so the wait varies on what time of day you go. I enjoy their French onion soup and their stuffed burgers! Always happy to return.

Great food, great service. I would not recommend eating outside during busy traffic, very noisy. Still a great place tho.

Great tasty food and wonderful service. My server was James. He usually is my server. My family and I go to Alpine Tavern regularly and If he's working he serves us, he is always upbeat and happy. He has an amazing attitude and even better smile.

Absolutely amazing food ! Great service and atmosphere. Felt very welcome and had a great time . The fried pickles and chipotle ranch are the best I’ve had .

We always enjoy our time at Alpine. The food is great and so is the service. We usually sit outside and they have good seating there.

Music by Kenny Thompson was great! Food was very good and the staff were friendly. Good for groups and nice bar area for couples.

Great service with an excellent selection of food. Always greater to see fresh fish on the menu. They have GF items on their menu and can accommodate as well. I got the crispy Whitefish sandwich. It was fresh, fried perfectly, thrown on a fresh bun and it was ginormous! Will easily return when back in Gaylord.

White chicken chili and 1/2 a smoked brisket dip with Swiss. Onion rings as an appetizer. North woods black cherry and wild bill’s root beer.Reviewing the menu, pricing, and comment I had high expectations for this restaurant. The onion rings were nothing special, but were perfectly cooked! The White chicken chili was clear out of a can/box/bag and as such was so-so. A house made version that is not as bland, could have aligned with my expectations. For the price tag it was ok but nothing that would bring me back. The Brisket and onions on the sandwich were bland. They tasted as if the had been soaked in water the reheated to remove moisture. The bread was the best part of the sandwich but could not make up for the lack of flavor from the sandwich fillings. Both sodas were carbonated correctly, but tasted watered down. Both tasted promising, Without ice or with a stronger mix, they may have been outstanding.

Average~employess were really nice.. Disappointed that they advertised they had a,restaurant and bar in the hotel and didn't! That was one was one the reason we choose this place. Definitely a curfew for kids in the pool/hot tub area. It was hard to enjoy "adult" time after 930-10 with young kids yelling/running/ jumping in and out of The pool and hot tub.

Fantastic staff, excellent food. Almost went to a competitor -- reviews showed that the owner of *that* place had a lousy attitude about complaints regarding their staff not wearing masks. So I and family discovered Alpine and were very pleased! Thank you for wearing masks!

Food used to be great along with service I have since changed my mind service was very poor food was cold on top of being overcooked sent back fish tacos and fries they sent it back to me microwaved ran out of my beer half way thru never got asked for another one very very poor all around will not be back again just irritated with the poor service and even worse cooking ability going on last time everything was great our waitress got a huge tip to go with the great service and food my experience today was gas station food has better quality and as far as service we would have been better off self serving

Food and service was excellent!! Very Covid safe. Staff wore masks and tables and menus were disinfected between patrons.

I was staying in town for one night and asked the hotel clerk for a restaurant recommendation and was sent here. It was great! I sat at the bar and was able to order food and get great drinks and excellent service. The bartender was super cute 😉😉 and very attentive. When I mentioned I was celebrating my birthday he comped one of my drinks, which was super sweet! There was a guy playing live music which was really neat, and added to the fun atmosphere. If I ever come back to Gaylord I will definitely eat here again!

I was visiting the area from Kalamazoo and I have eaten here before. I was excited to eat here again. the ambiance was cozy, the prices were reasonable, and the staff was very attentive. I had the whitefish sandwich and it was delicious! If you are in the area, please consider this restaurant!

Great all you can fish fry on Friday! Staff was prompt and friendly and the live music was pleasant and not too loud. We'll definitely be back!

Nice staff and atmosphere. Our food had a few problems. The teriyaki tenders were over cooked and the garlic bread was way over salty. Little fixes can go a long way.

Visited last July on our way to Petoskey. Our entire party of around 10 people found the food bland and we joked about our poor experience afterwards. I'm surprised by all the positive reviews.

Great food, very reasonable pricing. Old school decorations make it feel homey and comfortable. Indoor and outdoor seating make this place I will definitely go to again.

Great Food from traditional Pub Food (burgers and pizza's) Friday fish fry, and some nice mid scale meals like salmon, crab cakes. Service has always been personable and pleasant.

This was our favorite place to eat when visiting Gaylord. This time it was underwhelming. No steak on the menu anymore. The perch tasted like the oil it was fried in. It completely overwhelmed the fish. For $14, there was an underwhelming amount of fries. I can't tell you how frustrating it is when places are stingy with the cheapest thing on the menu. The wrap was good, but my husband was already giving me some of his tots to balance things out. Probably will skip next time. ‍

1st visit was a great experience. Our most recent visit was a terrible experience due to the server. She lost our order. Came back 15 mins later to take our horse again. 2 tables that sat appx 30mins after us were served their food before ours. Fried pickle appetizer is probably the best fried pickles I've had. Even after taking 30mins to get to our table. We had order two sandwiches and a side salad. That came 10mins after our app. Basically the service was horrible. A meal that should've taken 45mins to cook and eat took 1hr and 30mins. We will return at some point. But, will definitely request any swrvee but her. Some staff wore PPE while our server and a few other servers were very nonchalant about their PPE taking it off and on repeatedly without any sort of hand washing inbetween.

The all you can eat "cod" Friday night fish fry is delicious! It's a little loud on Friday's with the musician playing, but he's good & plays lots of oldies everyone likes. A good bar to go to with friends to have fun.

Nice to be socially distanced but feeling like a normal holiday experience. Good sandwiches and friendly service.

An unexpected, delightful experience! The food was good although the dishes we chose were a bit bland. The basil in the spinach was a surprising combination that I liked but the salmon was very plain even after I mixed it in. Really, the 5th star is for the stellar atmosphere. We had a great time with the outdoor games while waiting for our food and after finishing dinner.

Best homemade chicken tendies of all time. Thank you and God for the delicious breading. Never change the recipe please. Love you.

We ate at Alpine Tavern this weekend. They tried to seat us at a dirty table and we were given menus and paper with specials. The same people were serving our food and clearing tables. While these things would not have greatly bothered me before, they were a great concern now. Maybe Alpine Tavern should reaccess their protocols before post Covid19 opening.

Nice clean place with great atmosphere. However our food to forever to come out and when it finally did, it was cold. Our waitress spent most of the time chatting with her friend at another table. She said she would bring us drink refills, but just like the napkins.. they never showed up. The pulled pork nachos had very little pulled pork or cheese on them, mostly dry chips with lettuce. When I addressed the problems with the manager, she brought out a side of the cheese that was suppose to be in the nachos, she said " the cook must have forgot". Next time in town I'll find a different place.

Went in the afternoon and the outside seating was nice and shady. Taco burger was great, haven't really seen that anywhere else and is a good sized meal

Just had a wonderful large all meat pizza and caesar salad from alpine tavern. Carryout worked tonight with family on the lake.

Always a must stop when around Gaylord. Great tasting food and drink everytime. Reasonably priced. I highly recommend their Calzone!

Seriously, food coma when I left this place. Food was delicious. Service was great.
